The activity was full of enthusiasm and euphoria as many people came with their supporters and everything was calm.
The regional offices opened at 9 o’clock on Monday morning with aspirants rushing to pick up forms.
Raymond Tandoh, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, said “they are still coming, as we speak about twenty aspirants had come to pick up forms by Wednesday which is encouraging when you look at the party, the posters and the people around here.”

“The aspirants come to pick the forms, we are not interested in what position they are contesting, we wait till August 23 and 24 when they file, then we will know what positions they are contesting for,” he said.
The NDC opened nominations for the regional positions on Monday, July 16, 2018.
Kofi Adams, the National Organiser of the party, said the aspiring regional executives must present their forms by the close of next Tuesday.
“Nominations for regional executive positions opened on Monday, and prospective aspirants who are members of the party and qualify, per our regulations, can pick nomination forms today, tomorrow and Wednesday the 18th after that, no one can pick forms for the regional executive position.
“The vetting of the aspirants will be done between August 1 and 6,” Mr Adams said.
