Kumasi Asante Kotoko have started the hunt for a coach to replace Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin after agreeing to part ways amicably with him.
Coach Fabin tendered in his resignation last week citing personal reasons for his departure from the Porcupine fold.
Kotoko were reluctant to release the experienced gaffer after learning he was in talks with a South African club to take up a juicy offer on the table.
The club subsequently agreed to let him off the hook after initially threatening legal action against him for leaving the job with few months left to run on his one-year contract.
With Coach Fabin out of the picture, reports from the club indicate former Ashgold boss C.K. Akunnor is high on the radar of the Porcupines Warriors to take over the top position.
Suggestions from the club revealed that talks are ongoing to offer the former Black Stars Captain a two-year deal.
Coach Akunnor has been unattached after being relieved of his job by Ashgold early this year following disagreements with the management.
Other sources have also hinted the Times Sports that Assistant Coach Akakpo Patron may be promoted to the position of head coach.
Patron joined Kotoko from premiership side West Africa Football Club (WAFA) and has acted as assistant to Englishman Steve Polack and Coach Fabin.
Patron is a former striker of the club and holds a CAF license “B” qualification.
He featured for the side from 1993 -1996.
