The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Shai Osudoku District in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Daniel Akuffo, has advised chiefs, elders and land owners against multiple sale of land to unsuspecting clients, without regard to the future generation.
He said indiscriminate sale of land has resulted in the engagement of land guards, posing a threat to security in the area.

According to the DCE, the national capital Accra was choked with development projects, and people were heading to the Shai-Osudoku for land, resulting in increased land guard activities.
Mr Akuffo reminded the public that the engagement of land guards for the protection of property was against the law, and cautioned that the security agencies would arrest offenders.
He also warned land owners to desist from ‘quick’ release of land for meagre sums of money, which could affect the development of the area.
The DCE urged the people to take charge of government’s Planting for Food and Jobs programme and help boost agricultural production across the country.
He said 2,143 farmers had registered and participated in the programme, and urged the youth to consider agriculture as a business.

He commended the people of Osuwem and Asuatuare for massively taking part in the recent sanitation exercise, city in Accra.

She stated that government would distribute resources equitably in other to bridge the gap between the poor and rich.
Ms Akuffo assured that contractors would soon move to site to begin the reconstruction of some roads in the area.
