The Old Students Association Of St. John’s School, Sekondi based in UK have cut sod to redevelop the school field.
Speaking at the function, Rev. Henry Godson-Afful said it is important for the Old students to support their alma mater as governments cannot do it all.
He also praised the work of missionaries who left the comfort of the nations and traveled to the shores of Ghana to help build some of the educational institutions.
The association also made donations including sports equipment to help augment the depleted resources of the school.
Mr. Joseph Turkson, deputy Organising secretary of the UK chapter intimated that the UK chapter is very keen to support the school in every way possible to make it compete and win in sports.
Dr. Benyah president of the global alumni of St. John’s School said the old boys association are ready to support the school to help make it one of the best in the Country.
Headmaster of the school, Mr. A. J. Mensah commended the efforts of the old boys and said their support has come at a very crucial time.
