The Imo State governor is expected to unveil a statue of Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

President Akufo-Addo and Okorocha have been enjoying this cordial relationship since the former’s electoral victory in 2016.

The statue which has been completed is located in Owerri, the capital city of the Nigerian state of Imo.
The date for the unveiling is yet to be announced.
It will be recalled that Nana Akufo-Addo, as president-elect, visited Imo State for the celebration of their Thanksgiving Day as the Special Guest of Honour.

President Akufo-Addo is not the only Head of State to have his statue in Imo State.
President Jacob Zuma of South Africa and President Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson have their statues in the State as well.
