Land guards have stormed Adankwame-Esaso in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region beating family members of Aboade royal over a long standing land dispute.
The dispute is between Aboade Royal family and one Chief Kwaku Nsiah who has been claiming ownership of the land.
The family head of Aboade Royal family Nana Kwadwo Appiah speaking to Abusua Dawuro’s Osei Kwadwo said about five (5) ‘macho men’ wielding guns ordered them to stop working on the structure they were putting up on the land.
According to him, just as they refused, the macho men pounced on them and beat them mercilessly whiles threatening to shoot anyone on sight.
“My nephew was beaten severely by the macho men. They came here with guns and other weapons to warn us to stay away from the land. The land belongs to Aboade Royal family not Chief Kwaku Nsiah,” he said.
He is, therefore appealing to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to intervene and bring to a stop the incessant embarrassment they are going through.
