Host of Adom FM’s breakfast show Captain Smart has confirmed that Kwadwo Asare-Baffuor Acheampong popularly called ‘KABA’ died of low blood sugar also known as ‘hypoglycemia’.
The popular host of Asempa FM’s afternoon political talk show ‘Ekosii Sen’ died on Saturday morning after he was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
According to Captain Smart, until his death, KABA never suffered any serious illness.
He explained that KABA whiles hosting his show, complained of sickness and he (Captain Smart) was called on phone to sit in for his show on Friday.
‘He drove to the office yesterday (Friday), and said he was not feeling well, so I was called on phone to sit in for him, I was on my way to the office when they called again that one of my colleagues was hosting the show… He went home and was later rushed to the hospital but passed away this morning. The doctors said he died out of low blood sugar,’ he explained on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review.
He was the only child of his mother.
KABA who married a year ago, left behind a wife Valentina who is also a journalist with Class FM and a 7-months old baby.
