Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko will have to negotiate for points against Karela United without their influential captain, Ndongani Samba O’Neil.
The 25-year-old centre-back is suspended for the Ghana Premier League clash slated for Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Baba Yara Stadium due to yellow card accumulation.
Samba O’Neil has picked consecutive yellow cards in the Ghanaian top-flight, making him unavailable for the Karela United showdown.
His absence is expected to affect the Porcupine Warriors, having established himself as a key member of the squad since his arrival.
Asante Kotoko will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways following their humiliating defeat to Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round.
The Porcupine Warriors fell short to the Moroccan giants 6-1 on aggregate, confirming their elimination from the competition.
The Ghanaian giants has now shifted their attention to domestic competitions and are seeking for a win against Karela United on home turf this weekend.
Samba O’Neil has been impressive this season, making six appearances for the Porcupine Warriors across competitions and scoring one goal. He scored the consolation goal in his sides’ emphatic defeat to Wydad AC in Morocco last weekend.
