Northern Super League side AFC Toronto have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Linda Owusu Ansah following the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Women’s Premier League season.
The attacking midfielder joins from reigning Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies, signing a two-year contract with an option for a further year.
Owusu Ansah spent the past three seasons with the Techiman-based side and was part of the squad that made its debut in the CAF Women’s Champions League three years ago.
She played a key role in the recently concluded campaign as Ampem Darkoa clinched their fifth league title, defeating Hasaacas Ladies in the final.
The midfielder has also been influential for Ghana’s U20 women’s team during their qualification for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, scoring a crucial equaliser against Uganda in Kampala that sealed Ghana’s place at the tournament.
Her move to the Canadian top flight marks a significant step in her career progression, with the forward-thinking midfielder aiming to elevate her game further.
At AFC Toronto, she will link up with Nigeria forward Esther Okoronkwo, a Women’s Africa Cup of Nations winner, adding further experience to the squad.
