Ivory Coast's impressive 2-1 victory over France in a World Cup warm-up match attracted a television audience of more than 5.2 million viewers in France on Thursday evening.
The friendly, broadcast live on TF1, drew an average audience of 5,203,000 viewers, representing a 31.1 percent audience share.
The figures were in line with the usual viewership for France matches and made the game the most-watched programme of the evening, comfortably outperforming competing broadcasts on other French channels.
The match saw Ivory Coast claim a notable 2-1 win over Didier Deschamps' side as both teams continued preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
TF1 holds the rights to France's pre-World Cup friendly matches through its partnership with the French Football Federation, while M6 will broadcast the World Cup tournament free-to-air in France.
France will conclude their preparations with a friendly against Northern Ireland on Monday before beginning their World Cup campaign against Senegal on June 16.
The strong viewing figures underline the continued popularity of France matches ahead of the start of the World Cup, which kicks off on June 11 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
