Former Berekum Chelsea player Solomon Asante has been impressive throughout the season for Phoenix Rising FC but on Thursday, October 10 that was rubber-stamped at the club’s soccer ball to award players.
Ghanaian footballer Solomon Asante swept four awards, making him the biggest winner at the end-of-year awards.
The diminutive forward won the Golden Boot, Goal of the Season, Most Valuable Player and Player’s Player of the Season awards at the Arizona-based outfit’s end-of-season gala.
Asante won the top scorer award after netting 22 league goals, becoming the 7th player in the history of the USL Championship to reach that mark in a single season.
Earlier in the season, he broke the club record for most goals in a season after scoring his 20th and now has a league record for most combined goals/assist in a season with 33.
