The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says the next NDC government will bring back the lost peace and unity of the country.
The former President gave this assurance on Wednesday, August 5 when he took part in the ongoing voter registration exercise at Bole.
He revealed the attacks, intimidations and victimizations on journalists and other citizens is an indication the NPP-led government has failed.
Mr. Mahama called on Ghanaians who are yet to register for their voter ID cards to do so.
He accused the NPP of failing in the fight against the novel coronavirus, saying they have no response strategy.
“President Rawlings, Kufuor and myself handed over a peaceful country but what country is Akufo-Addo handing over to me in 2021?” he quizzed.
He said the 2020 elections is going to be a referendum on the Akufo-Addo administration.
The President is expected to be in the Daboya-Mankargu Constituency on Thursday, August 6.
