Thomas Partey could be on his way to Arsenal after fresh reports suggest the Gunners have made a final push for his signature on transfer deadline day.

The Ghana international has a release clause of £45 million in his current deal at Atletico Madrid and La Liga giants are unwilling to budge in negotiations. Arsenal were hoping to land their target for less than that but Diego Simeone’s outfit have demanded for nothing less than the £45 million and it seems the Gunners will finally pay the requested amount.

According to a report by Goal, Arsenal’s legal team are currently working out a way to get the deal done.

Should the deal go through, it will represent a significant coup for Mikel Arteta’s side who are still hoping to beef up their squad on the transfer deadline day.
