On a dry yet stormy night on the street of “”EMOTION HIGHWAY”” under the flickering glow of a streetlamp, Nayella found herself walking home alone after going on an emotional roller coaster ride at the park where she always went to vent.
The wind howled, and the rain fell in sheets, creating an eerie atmosphere that made every shadow seem alive. As she hurried along the deserted streets, a chilling feeling crept up her spine, sending shivers through her body.
With each step, she could hear the rhythmic patter of her own footsteps, but there was something else—a faint sound that seemed to echo behind her. She glanced over her shoulder, but the street lay empty, the only witness to her unease.
The feeling intensified, as if someone was watching her, lurking just out of sight. Her heart raced, and she quickened her pace, desperate to reach the safety of her home.
As she turned the corner, the streetlight flickered ominously, casting long shadows that danced along the pavement. Suddenly, she felt a presence beside her, and the chilling feeling in her spine turned into a cold grip of fear.
She dared not look, but instinct told her to run. With adrenaline pumping through her veins, she sprinted toward her apartment, the sound of her breath mingling with the storm.
Finally bursting through her door, she locked it behind her, heart pounding. The chilling feeling lingered as she awoke from her sleep that seemed like a war zone, a reminder that sometimes, the darkness holds secrets best left undiscovered.
