Decathlon Ghana, the global leader in sporting goods has opened its newest branch at the Accra Mall on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
This comes after the leading sports retailer shop opened a new branch at the West Hills mall earlier in the year.
On their grand opening, Decathlon offered 20% discount on purchases of any sporting goods.
Notable personalities such as the French Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Jules Armand Aniambossou, Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, musician Deborah Vanessa, Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo and FIFA Licensed Agent, Daniel Boifio Junior graced the grand opening ceremony on Wednesday.
Store Manager for the new Accra Mall Branch, Ebenezer Mensah revealed the company’s plans to expand to other Regions as part of efforts to make sporting goods accessible to many.
“We have series of expansion to do from next year so we are now in Accra, we are looking at moving on to Kumasi and the likes. So, our customers in Kumasi and the Northern part of Ghana should expect us hopefully next year,” he told journalists at the event.
Decathlon Ghana offers various products of sports apparel including fitness wears, dumbbells and other sporting products.
“So, we entreat all users and customers to come into the store and get their sports apparel,” Mr Mensah noted.
Decathlon Ghana is currently the official sports retailer for the Ghana Football Association and has sponsored the Women’s Football league for the past two years.
The Store Manager for Accra Mall expressed Decathlon’s willingness to partner other institutions with similar sporting interest.
He called on professional athletes, intermediate sport persons and all Ghanaians to visit Decathlon Ghana for products to enhance their fitness and well-being.
Revealing Decathlon’s offer for the Black Friday campaign from November 29 to December 1, offers of up to 60% and minimum of 10% are up on products.
