John Dramani Mahama, Ghana’s President-elect, has disclosed his intentions to venture into full-time farming after retiring from politics.
According to Mahama, agriculture is his roots and that is where he will return after bring his political career to an end.
The former President who has been reelected shared the vision at a visit to his Yapei and Busunu farms over the weekend, emphasising his deep connection to agriculture.
To him, but for politics, he would have been a full time farmer, expressing his deep connection for it.
“Farming is my life. I love it. I am sure if I didn’t go into politics I would be a full-time farmer. In any case, when I retire after this stint, of course, I am going to go into full-time farming.
“If you want to see me, you will have to come here unto the farm,” Mahama revealed.
