The Ministry of the Interior has released the official list of statutory public holidays and commemorative days for the Republic of Ghana in 2025.
Statutory Public Holidays:
- New Year’s Day: Wednesday, January 1st
- Constitution Day: Tuesday, 7th January
- Independence Day: Thursday, 6th March
- Eid-ul-Fitr: *** (Date to be announced by the Office of the Chief Imam)
- Eid-ul-Adha: *** (Date to be announced by the Office of the Chief Imam)
- Good Friday: Friday, 18th April
- Easter Monday: Monday, 21st April
- May Day (Workers’ Day): Thursday, 1st May
- Founders’ Day: Monday, 4th August
- Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day: Sunday, 21st September
- Farmers’ Day: Friday, 5th December
- Christmas Day: Thursday, 25th December
- Boxing Day: Friday, 26th December 1

- African Union Day: Sunday, 25th May

Note:
- The dates for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha are not fixed as they are movable feasts. The official dates will be announced by the Office of the Chief Imam in due course.
