Ghanaian artistes gear up for album releases in 2025

Expectations are high for Ghanaian artistes in 2025, with several major album releases on the horizon.

Following a successful year in 2024, some of the country’s biggest names have announced plans to release new music, much to the excitement of their fans.

Black Sherif, known for his raw and introspective style, has already hinted at the release of his highly anticipated album, “Iron Boy.” The release of the single “Rebel Music” effectively set the tone for the project.

The rapper has further teased fans with a release date, hinting that the album will drop on January 30, 2025, after delivering gift cards with the release date inscribed to influencers and media personalities.

Gyakie, affectionately known as the “Songbird,” has also announced that 2025 will be the year of her debut album.

In a tweet on December 31, 2024, she declared, “See you in 2025, the year of my debut album.” While details regarding the album’s title, release date, and featured artists remain scarce, fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

Kidi, another prominent figure in the Ghanaian music scene, revealed during an interview on TV3’s “Showbiz 360” that his album was nearing completion and would be released in 2025.

However, he did not provide specific details about the release date, featured artistes, or the album’s title.

Kelvynboy also joined the list of artists set to release new music in 2025. In response to a fan’s question on social media about his upcoming project, Kelvynboy simply replied, “Album.”
