Ghanaian London-based journalist, Rahman Osman, has criticized the Black Stars players for their inconsistency and lack of desire in recent times.
Ghana endured a difficult 2024, failing to qualify for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
Speaking on TV3 Sports Station, Rahman expressed his disappointment in the current squad, urging them to step up and show more commitment.
“I’ve watched our national team compete on the world stage, and I want to see that level of seriousness again. We have a talented generation, but they consistently disappoint whenever they play for Ghana. No one in this squad should think they are a superstar because there are none. I doubt any of them would start in Agyemang Badu’s Black Stars. I want to see professionalism, players who come to camp and fight for their spots,” he stated.
The Black Stars have begun preparations for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with nine players participating in their first training session on Monday.
Ghana will host Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24.
