Government is to compensate the chiefs and people of La over the acquisition of the 127- acre land site of the Ghana Trade Fair Centre in Accra. Starting as a field station in November 1988, the Navrongo Health Research Center (NHRC's) initial aim was to investigate the impact of large doses of Vitamin A on child survival. The Navrongo Health Research Centre (NHRC) has instituted a provident fund for its staff into which the authorities pay 40 Ghana Cedis per staff per month to give the workers some financial cushioning at their retirement.
