Set to take place on November 2, 2024, at the Tomreik Hotel in East Legon, this year’s awards will celebrate excellence in 23 diverse categories, recognising the vital contributions of women in shaping Africa’s food systems. With the theme ‘Connecting Women: Connecting African Food Systems’, the event aims to foster collaboration and innovation across the continent.

2024 Women in Agribusiness Week
Ahead of the awards ceremony, Guzakuza has planned an engaging and inspiring Women in Agribusiness Week filled with activities designed to empower, educate, and connect women in the sector.
Fun Tour to Wli Falls, Monkey Sanctuary, and Adomi Bridge Photo Stop
The week kicks off with a fun-filled tour on October 27 to some of Ghana’s most beautiful attractions, including Wli Falls and the Monkey Sanctuary. Participants will also have the opportunity to stop by the iconic Adomi Bridge for a scenic photo opportunity. This tour not only serves as a refreshing break but also fosters networking and bonding among the women.
Women in Agribusiness Conference
On October 28, the Skyplus Hotel in Ho will host the Women in Agribusiness Conference. This in-person event promises to be a powerhouse of knowledge and innovation, bringing together thought leaders, industry experts, and women agripreneurs to discuss emerging trends and opportunities in the agribusiness sector.
Women in Agribusiness Forum
The activities continue on October 29 with the Women in Agribusiness Forum, which will take place at Ho Market. This forum will provide a platform for women agribusiness owners to share their experiences, challenges, and successes, offering inspiration and guidance to one another.
Industry Tour and Agribusiness Stakeholder Roundtables
October 30 will feature an insightful industry tour, allowing participants to see firsthand the innovative agribusiness practices in Ghana. Following the tour, there will be a virtual Agribusiness Stakeholder Roundtable on both October 30 and October 31, providing a space for key industry players to discuss pressing issues and potential solutions in Africa’s agribusiness landscape.
The Grand Finale: 2024 African Women in Agribusiness Awards
The week will culminate in the 2024 African Women in Agribusiness Awards on November 2.
The awards will recognise outstanding women who have demonstrated excellence, innovation, and impact in various aspects of agribusiness, from production to marketing and advocacy.
With 23 categories up for grabs, the ceremony is set to be a vibrant celebration of the women shaping Africa’s food future. Adding to the excitement, the awards night will feature a special performance by Germany-based Cameroonian singer La Reine Yosé, adding a unique blend of culture and entertainment to the prestigious event.
