
Eleven people including two children have been confirmed dead after a minibus they were travelling in crashed into a stationary vehicle at Dikpa on the Bole-Bamboi Highway.
Seven others are also receiving treatment at the Bole Government Hospital after suffering varying degrees of injury.
Eight persons were initially rushed to the hospital, but one person died from injuries sustained from the crash.
The incident according to the Bole District Police Commander, ASP David Azuma, occurred at dawn on Saturday, and the police are still investigating the incident to ascertain the cause of the accident.
“We are now investigating. The minibus ran into a stationary vehicle. We are now investigating as to what caused the accident because the minibus driver is seriously injured and has been refereed to the Wa government hospital for treatment.”
“Seven people are currently on admission receiving treatment, and their conditions stable. They are responding to treatment,” ASP Azuma added.
