The Ghana Meteorological Agency has predicted that there will be “moderate to heavy thunderstorms” throughout the country within the next 24 hours.
In a statement detailing a 24-hour forecast valid from 7 pm today [Thursday], the Agency said: “inhabitants in flood-prone areas should, therefore, take necessary precaution to avoid loss of lives and properties.”

The Agency had earlier warned of a heavy rainstorm in some parts of the country on Tuesday.
It had indicated that the rainstorm which had for some time now been in the “eastern constitute of the country is expected to propagate westward and affect most places along the east coast of Ghana with rain and thunderstorm this afternoon.”
