The Power Distribution Service (PDS) is working to address powercuts in parts of Accra following a rainstorm early Sunday morning.
The storm caused “interruptions in our distribution system leading to outages,” PDS said in a statement.
PDS said some trees uprooted and billboards fell on distribution conductors causing the outages.
It is unclear from the statement which areas were affected.
But the statement assured that PDS “engineers are working assiduously to rectify the fault and restore power supply.”
The distributor in a statement attributed the power cuts to the rainstorm which it said caused interruptions to its distribution system leading to the outages.
