Ghana Amputee team displaying the trophy
Ghana’s physically challenged side, the Black Challengers, on Saturday emerged champions in this year’s Amputee African Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted by Tanzania.
Before the final game, the Black Challengers defeated Egypt 3-0, beat Nigeria 4-0 in the quarterfinal before beating Angola 3-1 in the semi final.
Ghana overcame Liberia 3-2 in the final at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium.
Coincidentally, Ghana defeated Liberia to lift the maiden edition 14 years ago.
