The Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been caught red-handed trying to manipulate a video of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vice Presidential candidate, interacting with nursing students at Korle Bu Nursing Training College.
The NDC allegedly doctored the video to make it seem like the students were chanting “We Want Mahama” when in reality, they were demanding the reinstatement of their allowances, shouting “We Want Allawa.”
This desperate attempt to revive John Mahama’s dwindling popularity has backfired, revealing the NDC’s agenda to deceive the electorate and create a false narrative.
The nursing students’ primary concern is the restoration of their allowances, which were canceled under Mahama’s administration.
They even expressed gratitude to the NPP government for employing graduated nursing students and restoring their allowances.
It’s worth noting that the NDC has previously defended its decision to cancel the nursing trainee allowance, claiming it was replaced with a student loan scheme to provide more opportunities for youth to be trained.
However, this latest incident has sparked outrage, with many seeing it as a failed attempt to revive Mahama’s tarnished image.
The controversy surrounding the manipulated video has raised questions about the NDC’s credibility and its commitment to transparency.
