The Ashanti Regional Division of the National Sports Authority (NSA), has written to Dreams FC to pay a whopping fee of GHc 36,070.00 to get the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ready for Sunday’s crucial Confederations Cup semi-final second leg encounter against Zamalek SC after a goalless draw from the first leg played in Cairo.
Initially, the Dawu-based club announced that they’re going to open the stadium gates this coming Sunday to allow football enthusiasts to throng the stadium in their numbers to cheer the Still Believe lads to victory as they push for a ticket to the final of the Confederations Cup, hoping to become the first team after Hearts and Kotoko to reach the grand finale of CAF’s inter-club competition for the first time in two decades.
The move taken by the Ashanti Regional National Sports Authority is to spell out a number of expenses, such as facility field preparation, sanitation, and the availability of a standby generator.
