Mr Gilbert Hie, Managing Director of the Bank, said the bank had supported organizations and institutions in social responsibility programmes, which were all geared towards sustainable development of the country.

He said music played a very important role in the socio-economic development of life and that without it there would be no spiritual upliftment.

They pursued programmes in Theology, various options in Business Administration, Computer Science and Communication Studies.

As a way of assisting them to start their own business, Golden Star Wassa Limited (GSWL), gave each of the trainees working tools.

Although the programme was centered in the three communities, hamlets such as Mahuntem and Apeasuman also benefited from it.

He said Priests by nature had been deployed by God to save the world from condemnation and would be failing in their duties if they turned a blind eye to the  negative issues in the country.
