I hope a different club wins the league- Nyantakyie

Accra, Mar. 25, GNA - President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyie said, he hopes a different club wins the 2013/14 First Capital Plus Premier League. He said this in a short ceremony when he received the league trophy presented by the official headline sponsor, First Capital Plus Bank. Nyantakyie encouraged the participating clubs to be up to the task to ensure that, one club doesnt dominate the premiership for years. We yearn to have a winner that deserves the trophy and will be accepted by the public. I hope that this year, we will have a new winner so that one club does not monopolise the trophy. "To make the league competitive, every club has to strive to prove a point in the contest. Whoever wins the title will make history by being the first club to win the second rated trophy. On behalf of GFA, I would like thank First Capital Plus bank for the support given us and for donating the trophy. We hope this would go a long way to enhance the competitiveness of the Premier League, as we strive to keep enhancing the local game." He stated. The gold- plated trophy to be awarded to the ultimate winner includes the golden boot for the top scorer and gloves for the best goalkeeper of the competition with the champion annexing the ultimate title and a sum of GH5,000.00 aside the sponsorship deal on May 18.
