Twumguaso(E/R), Dec. 18, GNA - Lovenest Foundation, a Christian Non- Governmental Organisation(NGO) based in Tema has feted thousands of residents of Twuguaso, a farming community in the Okere District of the Eastern Region.
The residents of 17 farming communities around Twumguaso converged at the community centre in Twumguaso for the event.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Nicholas Oko Ofei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lovenest Foundation explained that the programme was to put some smiles on the faces of the deprived in the rural communities including children, widows, People With Disability( PWDs),young adults and the aged .
He said taking care of the needy provoked God's blessing on humanity.
'Let us try to live for others” he noted.
Mr Ofei expressed gratitude to people who supported the programme including; Kantamanto clothes Sellers Association, Verna Mineral Water, Lovenest members and some individuals.
Mr Francis Nsiah, Programmes Coordinator of Lovenest Foundation, stated that the organisation normally deployed its team of researchers to locate some deprived communities in the regions with felt needs for support.
He called on Faith Based Organisations(FBOs), benevolent bodies within the country to extend support to the deprived.
The patrons programme were given delicacies, stationeries, clothes, medicals amidst good music.
