Bawku (UE) Dec. 24, GNA - Mr Simon Amoh, the MTN General Manager in charge of Northern-Ghana, says the Mobile Network Service is committed to promoting economic and socio-cultural development of the people of Bawku.
He said MTN believed in the traditions and cultural development of the people which bond them as one people and would support them and their traditional authorities to harness the spirit for development.
Mr Amoh said this when he presented a cash donation of GH¢3,000.00, 20 cartons of Voltic water and Airtime in support of the Bawku Samanpiid festival slated for December27, at Bawku in the Upper East Region.
He said MTN over the years was working to promote the socio-cultural activities of the people and believed that they were the platforms on which the network could speak to its clients, to develop proactive ways in improving service delivery.
“When the people are united and see each other as one, economic and socio-cultural development will surely improve since they would work together in achieving one common goal for self-development,” he added.
He assured the people of the telecos commitment to providing quality service products and reliable mobile network services for socio-economic development in the area.
Mr Prince Edward Abugragoe, who led elders of the Bawku Naba Asigri Abugragoe Azoka II, the Paramount Chief of Bawku Traditional Area to receive the donation, commended MTN for its support in projecting traditions of the Bawku people.
MTN had over the years improved the living conditions of the people in the area with the Mobile Money services.
“Many people in this area can transact business using the mobile money services at their convenient time without difficulties,” he said.
