Accra Dec. 25, GNA - Christians have been tasked to use the Christmas festivities to share and show love to the needy and vulnerable in society.
"Christmas is time to rejoice and appreciate what God has done for you. It is also time to share and show love to the needy and vulnerable in the society," Mrs Juliana Vigbedor, a Deaconess of the Berean Assemblies of God Church at Ogbojo, near Madina, said.
Mrs Vigbedor, preaching the sermon in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, noted that everybody had his or her own understanding of what Christmas meant.
"But for us Christians, it is the time our saviour Jesus Christ was born. A time that God chose to come down in a human form to stay with mankind," she said.
She said God cherished the relationship he had with man, hence giving out his only begotten son to bridge the gap between Him and mankind.
The Deaconess admonished Christians to go all out to win more souls for Christ Jesus by preaching about His love for the world.
Mrs Vigbedor said God was looking for faithful Christians to intercede for friends, unbelievers and the world at large.
She, therefore, urged Christians to use part of their time to serve all especially the needy and vulnerable.
