Former Brazil and Real Madrid star Roberto Carlos is one of several coaches who have tendered in the application for the vacant Ghana coaching job following the departure of Avram Grant, GHANAsoccernet understands.
Carlos, 43, is one of the 91 foreign coaches who are reported to have applied for the Ghana job.
The former Real Madrid and Brazil left back started his coaching career at Russian side Anzhi Mackhachkala after announcing his retirement five years ago.
Currently the head coach of Delhi Dynamos in India, Carlos’ rich career saw him join Real Madrid in 1996 and spent 11 highly successful seasons, playing 584 matches in all competitions and scoring 71 goals.
He won four La Liga titles and the UEFA Champions League three times.
In April 2013, he was named by Marca as a member of the "Best foreign eleven in Real Madrid's history".
He was a member of the Brazilian side that won the 2002 World Cup.
