Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew says he is living his childhood dream by playing in the English Premier League.
Ayew, 25, joined the Swans after a frustrating spell at Championship outfit Aston Villa.
The Ghana international was handed a rare start as Swansea drew goalless with Middlesbrough on Sunday.
And he says he is happy to bide his time as he bids to make the most of his second crack at the Premier League.
“I have always watched the Premier League. When I was growing up in Ghana, it was always my dream to play here,” he told Jack Magazine.
“I got the opportunity with Villa. It didn’t work out really well for the team but I think it was okay for me, although you don’t see that when the team go down. It’s hard to enjoy it.
“But I always tried to do my best, that’s the truth, and I hope people could see that. Maybe that’s why I was given the opportunity to come to Swansea.”
