International football scout Kofi Bawuah has taken fierce tirade at George Afriyie for his desire to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi as president of the Ghana Football Association insisting he has done nothing to merit the position.
The immediate-past FA Vice President came under barrage of criticisms by the Association Members when he declared his intention clear to contest for the 2019 GFA presidential election.
The vociferous football agent slammed the Liberty Professionals Director for seeking such a high position - claiming that he's not carved a niche for himself as the rightful successor of Kwesi Nyantakyi's throne, though he pointed that the nation's football governing body head should not have felt betrayed by Afriyie's declaration.
"What has George Afriyie done for Ghana football thinking he is the right person to succeed Kwesi Nyantakyi, are they not from the same boat? Bawuah asked.
"Ghana football is not for Kwesi Nyantakyi or George Afriyie. If someone betrays you and sowhat?
Mr Afriyie was relieved of his post as Black Stars Management Committee chairman weeks after declaring his intention to contest for theGhana Football Association vice president before he was yanked as the FA's vice.
Afriyie was handpicked by President Kwesi Nyantakyi in 2014 but has been at loggerheads with his boss the last three years.
