Bayern Munich whiz-kid Kwasi Okyere Wriedt made a cameo appearance on his Black Stars debut in their 2-0 win over Japan in an international friendly on Wednesday.
Okyere Wriedt, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Hamburg, was handed his Black Stars debut call-up by coach Kwesi Appiah following his terrific display for Bayern Munich's second side.
The 23-year-old made his debut in the Black Stars win over the Blue Samurai of Japan when he came on for Emmanuel Boateng in the 83rd minute - with the team already 2-0 up.
The burgeoning hitman exhibited glimpses of a quality player by continuing from where Boateng left off in the game.
He is expected to be given much playing time when Ghana come up against Iceland on Thursday, June 7.
The four-time Africa champions won the match courtesy Thomas Partey and Emmanuel Boateng's strikes in either half of the game.
