Dutch born Ghanaian teen sensation Jeremie Frimpong was shown red in Celtic's League Cup win against rivals Rangers on Sunday.
The former Manchester City player was sent off after fouling Alfredo Morelos in the box, moments after Christopher Jullien had slammed in the winner.
The foul on Alfredo Morelos handed Rangers the golden opportunity to level but Fraser Forster to save the Colombian's penalty.
With Celtic a man down, Rangers wasted a number of other opportunities including one in stoppage time.
But Neil Lennon's side demonstrated impressive resilience as they further burnish their dominance of Scottish football and are now 31 domestic cup matches unbeaten.
It was the young Dutch man's first trophy with the Hoops.
