French born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah has disclosed his reason for leaving Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht.
The right back reveals he was forced out of the club, insisting the Board did not want him at the club anymore.
Appiah joined Anderlecht for 3 million Euros from Caen but spent only three season in Belgium before returning to Ligue 1 to sign for FC Nantes.
The 27-year old enjoyed a good first season with the Purple and Whites but struggled in his last two season because of change in management.
"The first year was great. We took the title and reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League. Those were great moments. The following year the coach was fired and there were still more changes, " Appiah told Goal.
"It was ultimately the wish of the board that I should leave. It was a great opportunity to return to Ligue 1 in any case."
Appiah has been a regular at Nantes this season, featuring in nine Ligue 1 games.
