Ghana Football Association vice president Mark Addo has urged referees to strive for professionalism as the 2019/2020 season draws closer.
Mr. Addo made the call at the opening ceremony of the ongoing 3-day integrity seminar for referees organised by the GFA in collaboration with FIFA.
The seminar involves 311 referees and assistant referees who will be officiating in the forthcoming football campaign in the country.
The 2019/2020 season has been slated kick-off on 28 December 2019.
Referees in the country have had a dented image following the football corruption exposé in June 2018.
The exposé led to the banning and suspension of many top match officials who were captured indulging in match fixing and manipulations.
