Ghanaian forward Said Ahmed has been relegated to second team of Sporting Lokeren due to poor performances, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report. Ahmed joined the Belgian outfit on a season-long loan from Portuguese side Rio Ave in the summer.
The 26-year-old has however failed to exhibit his scoring prowess in the 11 games he has played for the side.
Report reaching Ghanasoccernet.com suggest that the former Fiorentina forward’s time at the club could come to an early end after he was cast aside from the first team list by coach Stijn Vreven.
Vreven announced his decision on Thursday morning that the Ghanaian alongside Stefan Marzo, Laurens Symons, Thomas Nzinga and Vlad Mitrea have are all been sent to team B.
However, the club announced the sanction is not final and that the players could be drafted into the A team at any time.
Lokeren are yet to win a match in the second round of the league.
