Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has stated that he will sign for LR Vicenza Virtus, but only if they qualify for Serie A.
Boateng joined Fiorentina in the summer on a two-deal for an amount of €1 million from US Sassuolo.
The 32-year-old forward has however failed to clinch a regular starting berth.
According to Italian portal, Sport Mediaset, the Ghana international jokingly made a promise to Vicenza president Renzo Rosso at the club's Christmas dinner that he will sign for them but only if they manage to secure a passage to the top-flight league.
“If you go to A, I'll sign right away, in B a little less. A little out of respect for Prince ... "Here I see people with hearts, which is rare to find in other places.” Sport Mediaset quoted as said by Rosso.
Vicenza Virtus are sitting at the summit of the Italian Serie C table with 45 points after 19 round of games.
Boateng has scored one goal in 11 Serie A games for Fiorentina this term.
