Raufoss fought hard at Nammo Stadion but fell 2-1 to Lillestrøm in a lively 1. Divisjon Round 20 clash.
The visitors drew first blood in the 42nd minute when Lars Ranger’s tumble inside the box handed Lillestrøm a penalty. Thomas Lehne Olsen calmly converted, putting Raufoss on the back foot.
Early in the second half, Lillestrøm’s pace proved too much. A defensive lapse allowed Harald Woxen to head home a well-placed cross, doubling the visitors’ lead. Despite dominating only 36% of possession, Raufoss showed resilience and never stopped pushing forward.
Ghanaian forward Yaw Agyemang made an impact off the bench in the 67th minute, replacing William Osnes-Ringen. His calm finish in the 86th minute, following a clever play by Erlend Hustad and Ryan Lee Nelson, brought hope and delight to the home fans, though it was not enough to salvage a point.
Raufoss now shifts focus to their next league fixture against Hødd on August 30th, aiming to bounce back after a spirited performance.
