Ghana international Mohammed Kudus provided his fifth assist of the 2025/26 English Premier League season on Tuesday night, helping Tottenham Hotspur to draw 2-2 with Newcastle United.
The match played at St. James' Park saw both teams putting up a top performance in the first half, but neither side could find the back of the net and had to go into the break goalless.
The match came alive in the final 20 minutes, with Nick Woltemade setting up Bruno Guimarães for the opener in the 71st minute. The Brazilian finished with precision into the bottom right corner to give Newcastle the lead.
Shortly, in the 78th minute, Mohammed Kudus delivered a well-placed cross that goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario couldn’t reach, allowing Cristian Romero to nod home the equaliser from close range.
Newcastle regained their advantage in the 86th minute after Anthony Gordon converted a composed penalty into the right corner.
But Tottenham refused to settle. Deep into stoppage time, Romero produced a moment of brilliance, scoring a stunning overhead kick to rescue a point for the visitors.
Following his assist on Tuesday, Mohammed Kudus now has the joint-highest assists (5) in the Premier League this season.
