Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has made it clear that his team will approach Sunday’s match against Hohoe United with full seriousness, stressing that they will not underrate any opponent.
His message comes as the Porcupine Warriors prepare for a tricky away fixture after a mixed run of three draws, one win and one defeat in their last five games.
Facing a new team in the league brings its own challenges, but Zito believes their mindset remains the same.
"Well, it's normal. It's normal with every club that comes to the league when playing Kotoko. So we are going we never underrate anybody. Moreover, we are playing on unfamiliar pitch. I'm talking about the Astro turf. We are not used to that but it doesn't matter where at least we went to Kwara we play on it," he told Asante Kotoko TV.
"We were able to win. So we are not underrating them. We are going all out on our and then for the win. We are going for the win,"
Kotoko currently sit 5th on the league table with 21 points after 12 games and will hope to add more when they visit Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday.
