Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andy Reid has praised Ghana international Mohammed Kudus following his impressive performance in Spurs’ 3-0 win over Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Kudus, who joined Tottenham from West Ham United in the summer, was once again influential in attack as he scored his first Champions League goal for the club. He doubled Spurs’ lead in the 50th minute, calmly converting a VAR-awarded penalty after an own goal from David Zima had put the home side ahead.
Although he was substituted after 58 minutes, his energetic and dynamic play caught the attention of Reid, who described the winger as “electric” and highlighted his growing influence under manager Thomas Frank.
The Ghanaian has quickly established himself as a regular starter, delivering eight goal contributions in 14 Premier League matches so far this season. His sharp movement, creativity and willingness to take on defenders have strengthened Tottenham’s attacking options, alongside Xavi Simons, Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert.
Reid believes Spurs have quality in forward areas but pointed out that further improvements are needed across the squad as they push for success in multiple competitions.
Kudus’ form is also timely at international level, with the 25-year-old set to feature for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Black Stars will face England, Croatia and Panama in Group L, and Kudus has already spoken of his excitement about the challenge ahead.
Spurs return to Premier League action this weekend against Nottingham Forest, where Kudus will aim to continue his strong run of performances.
