Aduana FC defender Stephen Anorkye Badu has praised his teammates for working hard to secure victory over Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League clash on Friday.
The experienced centre-back played the full 90 minutes for the Dormaa-based outfit on the matchday, helping the side to bag all three points to move to the summit of the league table.
Speaking in a post-match interview after he was named Man of the Match, Anorkye Badu shared his delight about Aduana’s victory on the road and praised his teammates for putting up a spirited fight.
“We are happy that we have been able to get a win here. Most of the time we only draw here, but today by the Grace of God we have gotten the win. In our last game, we only drew at home, so today we wanted to fight for the win, and by the Grace of God, we have gotten the three points,” Badu said.
Friday’s victory over Heart of Lions has moved Aduana FC to the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings temporarily, pending the results from the other Week 14 matches scheduled to be played on Saturday and Sunday.
