Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu says his willingness to vary player selection remains a deliberate part of his coaching approach, stressing that adaptability and strategy, rather than predictability, guide his decisions.
He made the remarks after his side earned a 1-1 draw away to Swedru All Blacks, a result that underlined his belief in flexible planning and game-specific solutions.
Speaking after the match, Amadu addressed perceptions surrounding his selection choices, insisting they are rooted in careful preparation rather than spontaneity.
“Many people believe that I am unpredictable when it comes to team selection, and of course that comes with the job,” he said.
“We will look at it in training and think about it. You work out a strategy and see which players can fit into that strategy. During the week, you then come up with the team.”
The draw leaves Karela United sixth in the Ghana Premier League standings with 24 points, keeping them firmly in the top half as the season progresses.
