Henry Asante Twum has opened up on the decision to strengthen the Black Stars technical bench, making it clear that the move began with head coach Otto Addo.
According to the Ghana FA Communications Director, the initiative to reinforce the backroom staff was driven by the coach’s own request, which was later supported by the association’s leadership.
"The coach made the request and then leadership also agreed with him once the coach has made the request you have to do something about it. During the planning period a lot of names was considered especially if you look at the various departments in the team the coaching is different, medical is different, high performance is different, video analysis is also different," he told Peace FM in an exclusive interview.
"So the medical is led by Dr. Pambo, video analysis we brought in a gentleman from Belgium when we reshuffled the the technical team when we could not go to the afcon now two are under him. The technical team too Otto is there Desmond, and Otto were there now two have joined Desmond.
"If you go to high performance they are what we call them physical trainers or trainers coaches now we classify them under high performance they also have their department."
