The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, shared his satisfaction on Sunday after the team’s goalless stalemate against Swedru All Blacks in the Ghana Premier League.
The league leaders played away from home in the Week 24 fixture, hoping to secure a win for the first time after going three matches without a victory.
Despite putting up a good performance, Medeama SC could not find the back of the net and had to settle for a point at the end of the contest.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Ibrahim Tanko praised his players, acknowledging that it was not an easy match.
“I think we did very well. It was a difficult away game. Playing against a team struggling for relegation is always difficult. But I think one point from this venue I’m okay with that,” Ibrahim Tanko said.
After failing to win any of their last four matches in the Ghana Premier League, Medeama’s point lead at the summit has been cut to just 1.
Up next for Ibrahim Tanko and his charges, they will host Hohoe United during Week 25.
