Christine Churcher chairs Ghana Gas Board

Veteran politician and renowned educationist, Madam Christine Churcher, has been appointed Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Ghana National Gas Company.

Other members of the Board are; Dr. Ben K.D. Asante, Hon. Andrew Kofi Egyapa Mercer, Mr. Stephen Sumani Nayina, Mr. Awulae Amihere Kpanyinli, Hon. Abraham Ossei Aidooh, Mad. Delphine Dogbegah, Nana Owusu Ansah Ababio, and Mr. Joseph Kwaku Acolatse.

At a short ceremony to introduce the new Board of Directors in Accra on Monday, Minister for Energy, Boakye Agyarko,  tasked them to help develop Ghana National Gas Company to become a world-class gas company that operates on a sound business model that generates a sustainable revenue stream.

Mr. Agyarko mandated the new Board to ensure the execution of Gas Sales Agreements (GSAs) and processing as well as transportation agreements appropriately executed.

He further tasked new Board to ensure that Ghana establishes a viable community relations with all the project affected communities. Read Full Story
